About the Opportunity
Ehlanzeni District Municipality, located in Mbombela, Mpumalanga, is dedicated to fostering youth development and skills transfer through structured internship programs. As a Risk Management Intern, you will work in the Office of the Municipal Manager, acquiring practical experience that enhances employability in governance, auditing, and financial management.

Key Responsibilities
– Assist in developing and implementing the Council Risk Management Strategy.
– Facilitate annual risk assessments and compile risk registers.
– Ensure compliance with risk management legislation, including MFMA and MSA.
– Develop policies and procedures for risk management and fraud prevention.
– Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements/Qualifications
– Grade 12, plus a relevant three-year National Diploma or equivalent in Risk Management, Internal Auditing, or Accounting.
– Self-motivation, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
– Strong administrative and organizational skills.
– Ability to collaborate with various departments and institutions.
Benefits
– Stipend of R120,000 per annum (all-inclusive package).
