What You’ll Do

• Operate specialized earthmoving and non-earthmoving equipment.
• Load and offload goods and equipment as required.
• Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of machinery, reporting any defects.
• Maintain accurate log sheets for vehicles and machinery.
• Follow safety protocols and precautionary measures during operations.
• Clean and lubricate machinery to ensure optimal performance.
• Grade gravel roads and perform shoulder maintenance.
• Transport work teams and materials to various sites.
• Identify and address minor mechanical issues on vehicles.
• Complete vehicle logbooks and trip authorizations.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 10 certificate (NQF level 2).
• Valid Driver’s Licence Code EC with PrDP.
• Departmental Competency Pink card for specialized equipment.
• A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in driving and operating specialized equipment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to read and write.
• Good eyesight and physical capability for equipment operation.
• Teamwork skills and the ability to interpret operating manuals.
