What You’ll Do
- Manage and facilitate Population Capacity Development and Advocacy Programmes.
- Oversee population research and demographic analysis.
- Implement and evaluate the Population Policy for South Africa.
- Coordinate performance information and monitor anti-corruption measures within the directorate.
- Manage the physical, financial, and human resources of the Directorate.
- Liaise with the National Department, other government departments, and key stakeholders.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
- A Degree in Economics, Statistics, Population Studies, or Demography (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a middle/senior managerial role.
- Extensive knowledge of population and development trends.
- Understanding of Public Service legislations such as the Public Finance Management Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
- Skills in project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
- A valid driver’s license is essential.
