What You’ll Do

• Manage and facilitate Population Capacity Development and Advocacy Programmes.
• Oversee population research and demographic analysis.
• Implement and evaluate the Population Policy for South Africa.
• Coordinate performance information and monitor anti-corruption measures within the directorate.
• Manage the physical, financial, and human resources of the Directorate.
• Liaise with the National Department, other government departments, and key stakeholders.

What You’ll Need

• A National Senior Certificate/Grade 12 (NQF level 4).
• A Degree in Economics, Statistics, Population Studies, or Demography (NQF level 7) as recognized by SAQA.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a middle/senior managerial role.
• Extensive knowledge of population and development trends.
• Understanding of Public Service legislations such as the Public Finance Management Act and Basic Conditions of Employment Act.
• Skills in project management, strategic planning, and problem-solving.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite and other relevant software.
• A valid driver’s license is essential.
