What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and operate power generators and related equipment.
  • Repair and maintain air-conditioning, refrigeration, and water systems.
  • Replace and repair mechanical pumps, valves, and perform pipe fitting.
  • Service and maintain forklifts, telescopic cranes, and portable generators.
  • Operate forklift and cargo handling equipment efficiently.
  • Maintain field huts and other field equipment.
  • Collaborate with the technical team and report to the base engineer.
  • Prepare monthly and annual reports and conduct stock-takes for spare parts and equipment.
  • Assist with other technical functions as required by the base operations.

What You’ll Need

  • A National NTC 3 certificate or equivalent qualification in a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of post-trade experience in diesel engine maintenance.
  • Competency in diagnostics, repairs, and overhauls of generators and engines.
  • Familiarity with electronic diagnostic tools and the ability to interpret results.
  • Knowledge of good workshop practices and safety policies.
  • Computer literacy and strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • A team-oriented mindset and the ability to work collaboratively.
  • Experience with earthmoving and material handling equipment is an advantage.
