What You’ll Do

  • Manage the provision of registry services for cadastral documents.
  • Oversee the receipt and dispatch of documents for examination and approval.
  • Ensure compliance with payment of fees before document acceptance.
  • Maintain the cadastral correspondence filing system for efficient access.
  • Supervise the examination and approval of documents prepared by land surveyors.
  • Provide professional advice to surveyors and government officials.
  • Liaise with the Registrar of Deeds to ensure registerable documents.
  • Respond to requests from the public and government bodies on land matters.
  • Support the training and development of officials in cadastral systems.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 Certificate and a B or BSc Degree in Geomatics/Land Surveying or equivalent.
  • Nyukela certificate (Pre-entry Certificate to the SMS) is required before appointment.
  • Registration as a Professional Land Surveyor with the South African Geomatics Council.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level in land surveying.
  • Knowledge of cadastral surveying, land administration, and spatial information systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and proficiency in project management.
