What You’ll Do

• Manage the visual assessment of roads and drainage structures.
• Develop and monitor the inspection plan to align with operational goals.
• Analyse gaps in infrastructure and provide actionable recommendations.
• Allocate necessary resources for effective project management.
• Consolidate assessment reports and offer maintenance expertise.
• Ensure compliance with maintenance standards and specifications.
• Identify and troubleshoot issues on production sites, proposing solutions.
• Provide on-the-job training to maintenance teams.
• Monitor and implement the Service Delivery Improvement Programme.
• Communicate with the community regarding requests and complaints.
• Manage progress reports on maintenance projects and quality assurance.
• Oversee resource management in compliance with relevant legislation.

What You’ll Need

• Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF level 6 in Civil Engineering or Survey Engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a roads inspection environment at a lower managerial level.
• Valid driver’s license (except for applicants with disabilities).
• Knowledge of Labour-Intensive Roads Construction and relevant Public Service Acts.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Excellent communication and computer skills.
• Ability to manage resources effectively and foster a performance-oriented culture.
