What You’ll Do
- Coordinate the development of the Chief Directorate and trading account budget.
- Analyze provincial budget submissions to ensure compliance and alignment with strategic plans.
- Oversee the consolidation of budget inputs into the National Treasury database.
- Create, implement, and monitor processes for monthly financial forecasts.
- Manage financial performance monitoring and reporting processes.
- Analyze revenue and expenditure trends to inform decision-making.
- Submit cash flow plans and quarterly replenishments based on projections.
- Ensure compliance in project registration documents and oversee their auditing.
- Manage human, financial, and other resources effectively.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinates in the finance team.
What You’ll Need
- Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting or Financial Management.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Knowledge of financial systems, including BAS and ACCPAC.
- Familiarity with the Public Financial Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Strong skills in supervision, communication, and interpersonal relations.
- Proficiency in planning, organizing, and computer literacy.
