What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate the development of the Chief Directorate and trading account budget.
  • Analyze provincial budget submissions to ensure compliance and alignment with strategic plans.
  • Oversee the consolidation of budget inputs into the National Treasury database.
  • Create, implement, and monitor processes for monthly financial forecasts.
  • Manage financial performance monitoring and reporting processes.
  • Analyze revenue and expenditure trends to inform decision-making.
  • Submit cash flow plans and quarterly replenishments based on projections.
  • Ensure compliance in project registration documents and oversee their auditing.
  • Manage human, financial, and other resources effectively.
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of subordinates in the finance team.

What You’ll Need

  • Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Management Accounting or Financial Management.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting and financial reporting.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, including BAS and ACCPAC.
  • Familiarity with the Public Financial Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
  • Strong skills in supervision, communication, and interpersonal relations.
  • Proficiency in planning, organizing, and computer literacy.
