About the Role
The Department of Public Service and Administration is seeking a Deputy Director: Organizational Design and Change based at the Head Office in Mahikeng. This pivotal role involves managing organizational design and change management services, crucial for fostering a responsive and efficient public service. By coordinating the development of job descriptions and overseeing job evaluation services, you will directly contribute to enhancing the effectiveness of government operations that serve the community of Mahikeng and beyond.

What You’ll Do
- Manage and coordinate organizational structuring and job design services.
- Oversee the development and design of job descriptions and profiles.
- Ensure the implementation of organizational functionality assessments.
- Manage change management workshops and interventions with employees.
- Coordinate work study investigations to enhance organizational efficiency.
- Supervise the sub-directorate and ensure adherence to ministerial directives on job grading.
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures and Business Process Mapping for the department.
What You’ll Need
- National Senior Certificate plus an appropriate National Diploma (NQF-6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF-7) in Management Services, Operations Management, or a related field.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience, including 3 years at Assistant Director Level.
- Knowledge of Public Service Regulation, Public Service Act, and PFMA.
- Familiarity with Human Resource Management, Job Design practices, and Job Evaluation principles.
- Strong skills in computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint), analytical thinking, and effective communication.
- Proven ability in conflict resolution, project management, and people management.
