What You’ll Do
- Provide strategic and executive leadership to the Information Services Branch, overseeing human, financial, and physical resources.
- Drive the Digital Transformation Strategy, focusing on the modernization of ICT environments and the implementation of citizen-centric services.
- Lead initiatives such as the Electronic Travel Authorisation, Digital Identity, and Smart ID and ePassport modernization.
- Establish and implement ICT policies, frameworks, and standards aligned with best practices and government priorities.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement and intergovernmental collaboration, representing the Department at various forums.
- Ensure effective delivery of ICT services and maintain sound governance and internal control systems.
- Oversee the development and execution of innovative, technology-enabled service delivery capabilities across the Department.
What You’ll Need
- A qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field at NQF level 8.
- At least 8 years of experience in a Senior Management role within an ICT environment.
- Proven track record in delivering complex ICT solutions and leading digital transformation initiatives.
- Strong understanding of ICT governance frameworks, legislation, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud computing, and cybersecurity standards.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel for operational requirements.
- Successful completion of the Nyukela Pre-entry Certificate to Senior Management Services.
