What You’ll Do

  • Manage financial revenue and expenditure within the department, ensuring adherence to established policies and guidelines.
  • Develop and maintain effective financial management policies and processes.
  • Monitor compliance with financial regulations and provide guidance to stakeholders on revenue and expenditure procedures.
  • Oversee the cashiering, banking, and debt management functions.
  • Ensure efficient processing of payments for employees, goods, services, and other financial obligations.
  • Compile and submit administrative reports and manage the operational plan of the sub-directorate.
  • Conduct strategic assessments to determine pricing structures for cluster services.
  • Lead and manage a team, fostering performance development and maintaining discipline within the sub-directorate.

What You’ll Need

  • A bachelor’s degree or relevant qualification at NQF Level 7 in Financial Management.
  • Five years of relevant experience in Financial Accounting at a supervisory or management level.
  • Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and treasury regulations.
  • Understanding of human resource management legislation and anti-corruption strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and a strong client orientation.
  • Ability to analyze problems, manage performance information, and navigate diverse environments.
