What You’ll Do
- Ensure GTAC budgets are managed in accordance with relevant legislation and departmental policies.
- Monitor compliance with financial policies and procedures, addressing any non-compliance issues.
- Oversee the performance and integrity of the financial management system.
- Coordinate the preparation of financial information for strategic and annual performance planning.
- Analyze and assure quality of financial information for business and project plans.
- Participate in the internal and external audit reviews.
- Manage the budget preparation process, ensuring alignment with performance plans.
- Evaluate monthly financial reports and recommend actions based on expenditure variances.
What You’ll Need
- A degree or related qualification in Financial Management or a similar field.
- A minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in Budget Planning and Financial Reporting, with at least 3-5 years in a supervisory or management role.
- Extensive knowledge of the PFMA and National Treasury Regulations is advantageous.
- Strong client service orientation and effective communication skills.
- Ability to hold team members accountable and demonstrate integrity in all actions.
