What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate supply chain management processes within the province.
  • Manage and compile the procurement plan for efficient financial operation.
  • Oversee the tender processes, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Prepare and report on monthly order statistics and payments.
  • Ensure timely payment of invoices within the required 30-day period.
  • Assess compliance with various financial regulations, including PFMA and Treasury regulations.
  • Support auditors and management in financial oversight and reporting.
  • Conduct investigations into irregular or wasteful expenditures.
  • Manage finance and revenue effectively within the province.
  • Oversee asset management and compliance with property regulation.
  • Implement risk management and compliance practices.
  • Guide and mentor staff on regulatory requirements and best practices.

What You’ll Need

  • An undergraduate qualification in Financial Management, Accounting, or a related field at NQF level 6 recognized by SAQA.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Junior Management or Assistant Director role in Finance or Supply Chain Management.
  • Proficiency in the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
  • Familiarity with departmental legislation and prescripts.
  • Strong project management skills and experience with online systems.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel and work extended hours.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Strong capabilities in financial management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
