What You’ll Do
- Facilitate condition assessments of properties and identify those requiring renovation.
- Ensure the safekeeping of records and completed reports from inspectors.
- Compile and manage a list of properties needing maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams.
- Oversee the procurement and management of cleaning and gardening services, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
- Conduct accommodation needs assessments for client departments and optimize the use of state and leased properties.
- Implement total security management measures across the district, ensuring the safety of personnel and assets.
- Manage allocated resources effectively, fostering a motivated and high-performing team.
What You’ll Need
- A National Senior Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree in Real Estate, Built Environment, or Facilities Management (NQF level 7 as recognized by SAQA).
- At least 3 years of experience in Facilities Management or Property Management at the Assistant Director level.
- A valid driver’s license.
- In-depth knowledge of the legislative framework governing public service, including PSR, PFMA, and SCM prescripts.
- Strong leadership, decision-making, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project and contract management, risk management, and compliance.
- Ability to engage effectively with stakeholders and manage relationships.
