What You’ll Do

  • Manage the recruitment, selection, and placement of employees to ensure a skilled workforce.
  • Facilitate the Employment Equity committee and ensure compliance with recruitment processes.
  • Oversee the management of employee benefits, leave administration, and HR registry services.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives, including skills audits and implementation of workplace skills plans.
  • Advise on labour relations matters and improve consultation quality between HR and management.
  • Manage health and wellness programs, including HIV/AIDS and TB initiatives in the workplace.
  • Ensure effective management of IT services and district infrastructure.
  • Participate in strategic planning sessions to develop and implement district operational plans.

What You’ll Need

  • National Senior Certificate and a B Degree (NQF level 7) in Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or Industrial Psychology.
  • At least three years of relevant experience in Corporate Services at an Assistant Director level.
  • A valid driver’s license and an Introduction to PERSAL Certificate.
  • In-depth knowledge of public service legislative frameworks and HR management processes.
  • Strong skills in strategic thinking, communication, financial management, and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, manage interpersonal conflicts, and lead teams effectively.
