What You’ll Do

• Provide specialized technological advisory services to ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
• Supervise and manage technological personnel while overseeing associated resources.
• Monitor engineering designs and drawings for adherence to standards and specifications.
• Support contract administration and project management functions in infrastructure projects.
• Liaise with relevant bodies and councils on engineering-related matters.
• Mentor graduate interns and guide them towards professional registration.
• Contribute to the development of tender documentation in line with best practice guidelines.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with evolving engineering practices.

What You’ll Need

• A Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil Engineering, recognized by SAQA.
• Minimum of six years’ post-qualification experience as an Engineering Technologist/Technician.
• Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
• Valid Code EB driver’s licence (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
• Experience in evaluating technical designs and providing advisory services.
• Familiarity with planning and supporting technological functions in water-related infrastructures.
• Knowledge of contract administration, project management, and public sector procurement processes.
• Strong communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and project management software; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.
