What You’ll Do
- Provide specialized technological advisory services to ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements.
- Supervise and manage technological personnel while overseeing associated resources.
- Monitor engineering designs and drawings for adherence to standards and specifications.
- Support contract administration and project management functions in infrastructure projects.
- Liaise with relevant bodies and councils on engineering-related matters.
- Mentor graduate interns and guide them towards professional registration.
- Contribute to the development of tender documentation in line with best practice guidelines.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay updated with evolving engineering practices.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Civil Engineering, recognized by SAQA.
- Minimum of six years’ post-qualification experience as an Engineering Technologist/Technician.
- Compulsory registration with ECSA as a Professional Engineering Technologist.
- Valid Code EB driver’s licence (with exceptions for persons with disabilities).
- Experience in evaluating technical designs and providing advisory services.
- Familiarity with planning and supporting technological functions in water-related infrastructures.
- Knowledge of contract administration, project management, and public sector procurement processes.
- Strong communication, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and project management software; experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D is advantageous.
