What You’ll Do

  • Manage and control surgical sundries, pharmaceuticals, and medical equipment efficiently.
  • Promote health education and preventive measures to clients.
  • Maintain accurate patient records in line with legal requirements.
  • Assist in the development and updating of procedural guidelines.
  • Identify areas for improvement and communicate effectively with the Operational Manager.
  • Address grievances and labour relations matters according to established procedures.
  • Supervise junior staff and guide them in providing quality patient care.
  • Implement infection control practices to enhance healthcare quality.
  • Initiate treatment plans and evaluate patients’ clinical conditions.
  • Participate in community health promotion and in-service training activities.
  • Contribute to data management processes and attainment of National Core Standards.

What You’ll Need

  • Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification.
  • Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife.
  • For Clinical Nurse Practitioner Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
  • For Clinical Nurse Practitioner Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years of relevant nursing experience post-registration.
  • Knowledge of nursing procedures and SANC regulations.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and report writing skills.
  • Excellent communication, conflict management, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Quality Assurance Programs and Batho-Pele principles.
