About the Role

The South African Police Service (SAPS) is seeking dedicated individuals to fill multiple Cleaner positions across various SAPS Academies, including locations such as Mankwe, Atteridgeville, Bhisho, and others. This role is vital in maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in and around the premises, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and visitors. What You’ll Do

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness in and around SAPS premises
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting furniture and vacuuming floors
  • Mop tiled floors and clean bathrooms to uphold hygiene standards
  • Safeguard and handle various cleaning materials responsibly
  • Remove refuse and ensure proper disposal of waste

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 9 (ABET Level 4) certificate or equivalent
  • Proficiency in English and one other official language
  • An understanding of cleaning detergents and Occupational Health and Safety protocols
  • Basic literacy, numeracy, and communication skills
  • Ability to interact professionally with colleagues and the public
  • Willingness to work extended hours when required
