What You’ll Do

  • Clean and maintain the cleanliness of floors, offices, and workshops at the Sonop Old Age Home.
  • Empty dustbins and ensure waste is disposed of properly.
  • Monitor the usage of cleaning materials and report stock levels as necessary.
  • Safeguard and properly utilize cleaning equipment following safety protocols.
  • Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety requirements to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure all cleaning tasks are completed efficiently.
  • Provide assistance in cleaning areas frequented by elderly residents, ensuring their comfort and safety.

What You’ll Need

  • A minimum of Grade 10 or adult education and training (NQF Level 2).
  • Fundamental knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment effectively.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work well with others.
  • Basic literacy skills to read and write, along with basic numeracy skills for counting.
  • Physical strength and the capacity to work in an environment with elderly people.
