What You’ll Do

• Identify needs for new work and repairs based on customer complaints and service requirements.
• Prepare specifications and develop bills of quantities for maintenance and minor new work.
• Inspect project sites to ensure compliance with regulations and quality control measures.
• Compile cost estimates for repairs and maintenance work.
• Maintain an electronic record system for ongoing and completed projects.
• Develop and interpret technical documentation, including plans and specifications.
• Manage contractor activities on-site, ensuring adherence to legislation and procedures.
• Conduct training and skills development for Works Inspectors to enhance team performance.

What You’ll Need

• A National Diploma (T/N/S streams) or equivalent, or a N3 and passed trade test in electrical, or registration as an Engineering Technician.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and Quality Control processes.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a focus on client orientation.
• Good conflict management skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
• Proficiency in report writing and computer literacy.
