What You’ll Do

• Manage the area office’s operations and oversee water resource infrastructure.
• Develop and implement medium-to-long-term plans for service delivery.
• Schedule and manage short-term tasks for efficient operations and maintenance.
• Ensure effective dam safety practices and emergency preparedness plans.
• Prepare and manage the area office budget, ensuring financial accountability.
• Foster good stakeholder relations and maintain a customer-focused service delivery approach.
• Lead and manage administration and technical staff in the area office.
• Monitor and evaluate activities of the Cluster Office, reporting on progress and challenges.

What You’ll Need

• An Engineering degree (B Eng or BSC Eng) or a relevant qualification.
• Six (6) years of post-qualification experience.
• Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
• A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
• Strong knowledge and skills in maintenance, engineering design, and analysis.
• Proficiency in computer-aided engineering applications.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage people effectively.
• Experience in financial management, programme, and project management.
