What You’ll Do
- Manage the area office’s operations and oversee water resource infrastructure.
- Develop and implement medium-to-long-term plans for service delivery.
- Schedule and manage short-term tasks for efficient operations and maintenance.
- Ensure effective dam safety practices and emergency preparedness plans.
- Prepare and manage the area office budget, ensuring financial accountability.
- Foster good stakeholder relations and maintain a customer-focused service delivery approach.
- Lead and manage administration and technical staff in the area office.
- Monitor and evaluate activities of the Cluster Office, reporting on progress and challenges.
What You’ll Need
- An Engineering degree (B Eng or BSC Eng) or a relevant qualification.
- Six (6) years of post-qualification experience.
- Compulsory registration with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) as a Professional Engineer.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Strong knowledge and skills in maintenance, engineering design, and analysis.
- Proficiency in computer-aided engineering applications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage people effectively.
- Experience in financial management, programme, and project management.
