What You’ll Do

  • Lead and manage the investigation and implementation of land restitution rights.
  • Coordinate research reports and ensure valuations are completed accurately.
  • Negotiate settlement models and ensure compliance with legal frameworks.
  • Develop submissions in line with the Restitution Act.
  • Oversee risk management and financial controls within the province.
  • Manage litigation related to land restitution projects.
  • Collaborate with municipal and provincial planning structures to integrate restitution projects into development plans.
  • Drive research initiatives related to special projects, including expropriations.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 Certificate and a Bachelor’s Degree or Advanced Diploma in Public Administration, Development Studies, Law, or a relevant equivalent qualification (NQF Level 7).
  • A Nyukela Certificate (Pre-entry Certificate to the SMS) must be submitted prior to appointment.
  • At least 5 years of experience in a senior managerial role.
  • Strong knowledge of project and program management, strategic planning, and financial management.
  • Excellent interpersonal and conflict management skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
