What You’ll Do

  • Oversee the management and delivery of technical services in workshops and field settings.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a safety-first culture.
  • Conduct quality assurance checks to meet specifications and standards.
  • Manage and maintain technical equipment and facilities effectively.
  • Organize daily preventative and maintenance work schedules.
  • Handle administrative tasks related to operations, including budgeting and reporting.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and performance.
  • Compile and submit necessary reports and updates for operational planning.
  • Maintain and update technical databases and records.

What You’ll Need

  • A valid Trade Test Certificate in the built environment with at least ten years’ post-qualification experience as an Artisan or Artisan Foreman.
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Strong understanding of Public Service Regulations and the Public Service Act.
  • Knowledge of project coordination, technical design, and analysis.
  • Excellent technical report writing and consulting skills.
  • Proficiency in computer-aided technical applications and technical processes.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven problem-solving abilities and decision-making expertise.
  • Effective planning and organization skills.
