About the Opportunity
Bidfreight Port Operations (BPO) is offering a 12-month Internship Programme designed to provide young graduates with invaluable practical experience in the port logistics and maritime sectors. This structured programme is perfect for graduates eager to launch their careers in shipping, logistics, and port operations, offering hands-on exposure in a professional setting. The programme commences on 01 July 2026 and runs for a fixed term of 12 months.

Key Responsibilities
Interns will gain practical experience in various fields, including Finance/Accounting, Human Resources, SHERQ (Safety, Health, Environment, Risk, and Quality), and Mechanical Engineering. Successful candidates will be placed at one of the following ports: Durban, Richards Bay, Gqeberha, or Saldanha Bay.

Requirements/Qualifications
Applicants must be South African citizens, aged between 18 and 29, currently unemployed, and hold a relevant tertiary qualification with a minimum academic average of 60%.

Participants will acquire practical workplace experience in port logistics operations and gain exposure to stevedoring, warehousing, terminal operations, and transport and shipping services. Note that completion of the programme does not guarantee permanent employment.
