What You’ll Do
- Coordinate community development interventions and programs, ensuring alignment with local needs and resources.
- Conduct research and analysis relating to community development to inform decision-making.
- Interpret and implement relevant policies and legislation, providing guidance to stakeholders.
- Manage relationships with internal and external role players to foster collaboration.
- Oversee monitoring and evaluation processes for community programs to assess impact and effectiveness.
- Manage financial, human, and physical resources effectively to support program delivery.
- Develop and maintain partnership mobilization systems to enhance community engagement.
What You’ll Need
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Developmental Studies, or Social Science.
- A minimum of 8 years of recognisable experience in Community Development post-qualification.
- Proficiency in computer applications relevant to community development work.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Strong understanding of human behaviour and social systems.
- Excellent networking and partnership-building skills.
- Knowledge of community development programs and relevant legislation.
- Competence in project management, financial management, and people management.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on conflict resolution.
