What You’ll Do
- Allocate duties and perform quality control on work delivered by supervisees.
- Advise and guide team members on various aspects of their roles.
- Coordinate and execute the bidding process, ensuring compliance and synergy throughout.
- Provide secretariat services to the Bid Evaluation and Bid Adjudication Committees.
- Review terms of reference for accuracy and completeness prior to advertising.
- Invite service providers for expressions of interest.
- Manage the end-to-end bidding process for projects exceeding R1 million, including reporting and processing requests.
- Perform quality checks on all submissions from the Tender unit.
- Supervise staff to ensure effective acquisition management and handle HR administration tasks.
- Ensure that all supervisees receive appropriate training and development.
What You’ll Need
- An NQF level 7 qualification in Supply Chain Management, Purchasing Management, Logistics Management, Public Management, Procurement, or a related field.
- A minimum of three years of relevant experience in Supply Chain Management at a supervisory level.
- A valid, unexpired driver’s license.
- Knowledge of Human Resource Management legislation and practices.
- Understanding of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and related regulations.
- Familiarity with the Public Service Anti-Corruption Strategy.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures and departmental policies.
- Understanding of the Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment Act and the National Treasury CSD system.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, along with effective communication capabilities.
