What You’ll Do

  • Maintain and manage the departmental HR information system to ensure its accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Oversee the operational aspects of the PERSAL system, ensuring compliance with departmental regulations.
  • Generate and provide analytical reports to assist in decision-making and strategic planning.
  • Manage the provisioning and allocation of posts within the department efficiently.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Diploma/NQF Level 6 qualification in HR or HR Systems recognized by SAQA.
  • Successful completion of the PERSAL Controller training exam.
  • At least three years of administrative experience in the PERSAL Administration environment.
  • A valid code 08 driver’s license.
  • Strong knowledge of HR systems, particularly PERSAL, and understanding of public service regulations and departmental policies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Access, and PERSAL.

Requirements

The ideal candidate must be in possession of a National Diploma/ NQF Level 6 qualification in HR/ HR Systems as recognised by SAQA, successfully passed the PERSAL Controller training exam and have at least 3 years’ administrative experience in the PERSAL Administration environment and a valid code 08 driver’s licence.

); Knowledge of Public Service Act/ Regulations; Departmental Policies; Understanding HRM practices in the Public Service; Public Service reporting procedures and work environment; Investigation into and policy development processes; Interpretation of legislation, policies and statistics; Computer based Human Resource Management Information systems; understanding of all prescripts, practices and procedures.

Job Duties

The successful candidate will be required to maintain a Departmental HRM information system with the following responsibilities: - Maintain an appropriate HR information system for the department; Manage the departmental PERSAL system; Provide analytical reports; Manage the provisioning and allocation of posts; Provide advice and guidance and input to policy; Manage the resources of the Division.

Salary

R487 197 per annum (Level 09)
