What You’ll Do
- Manage and monitor the departmental budget and financial plans.
- Ensure the availability of funds and oversee income and expenditure trends.
- Provide analysis and advice on financial reports, including the In-Year Monitoring report.
- Supervise cash and banking services, including petty cash administration.
- Manage debtors and ensure the recovery of outstanding debts.
- Review financial processes and make recommendations on adjustments and disputes.
- Oversee the administration of revenue, monitoring collections and financial compliance.
- Approve invoices and ensure timely payments to suppliers and service providers.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Financial Management, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a financial environment.
- A valid driver’s license.
- In-depth knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA) and Treasury Regulations.
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting and reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in computer software, especially Excel.
- Problem-solving, decision-making, and time management abilities.
