What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and review financial information to support planning and reporting.
- Oversee the preparation and compilation of Annual Financial Statements and Monthly Reports.
- Perform monthly reconciliations and financial reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
- Assist the Deputy Principal: Finance in preparing quarterly reports for the Council.
- Monitor and uphold internal controls within the Finance Division.
- Liaise with internal and external auditors to provide necessary documentation.
- Support effective management of finance units and staff supervision.
- Develop and implement efficient work systems and processes for financial accounting services.
What You’ll Need
- Matric/Grade 12 and a recognized 4-year Degree (NQF Level 7) in Financial Management.
- A minimum of three to five years’ experience in a Financial Management environment, including at least three years in a supervisory role.
- A valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), CET Act, and related legislation.
- Strong analytical thinking and report writing skills.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.
