What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate cleaning services across various district facilities to ensure cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Facilitate the procurement and development of service specifications for cleaning and gardening services.
  • Monitor contractor performance and service delivery compliance with established standards.
  • Oversee contract administration, including verification of service delivery and payment certification.
  • Conduct condition assessments of state-owned facilities to inform maintenance planning.
  • Manage space utilization inspections to identify underutilized facilities and ensure compliance with GIAMA.
  • Coordinate health and safety audits to maintain compliance with occupational health and safety legislation.
  • Supervise team members, ensuring high standards of work quality, including conducting performance assessments and delivering training.

What You’ll Need

  • A National Senior Certificate and a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Facilities Management, Property Management, or related fields.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience at a supervisory level in Facilities Management.
  • A valid driver’s licence.
  • In-depth knowledge of public service legislative frameworks, including GIAMA and PFMA.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations, facilities management policies, and asset management practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and facilities management systems.
