What You’ll Do
- Promote and implement sound asset management practices across the department.
- Inform, guide, and advise employees on asset management processes and compliance.
- Contribute to the design and development of asset management systems and policies.
- Monitor and review the progress of asset verification and ensure accuracy in records.
- Manage the compilation and maintenance of asset registers, including inventory lists.
- Oversee the issuance and movement of assets within the department.
- Conduct quality control and ensure proper financial reporting related to asset management.
- Supervise and mentor staff to enhance their skills in asset management.
What You’ll Need
- A Grade 12 Certificate and a National Diploma in Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, or Public Management (NQF Level 6).
- A minimum of 3 years’ supervisory experience in Asset Management.
- Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act and Treasury Regulations.
- Familiarity with LOGIS, BAS, and other asset management systems.
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Proficient computer skills and project management capabilities.
- A valid driver’s license.
