What You’ll Do

  • Provide administrative support to the chief directorate, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Plan, organize, and control various administrative activities to enhance efficiency.
  • Consolidate quarterly reports for submission to the Strategic Planning unit.
  • Manage the flow of documents and ensure efficient communication within the department.
  • Maintain deadlines for submissions related to Parliamentary matters.
  • Administer finances for the chief directorate, including budget planning and MTEF submissions.
  • Coordinate procurement activities and manage human and physical resources.
  • Provide secretariat support for cluster meetings, including the timely submission of minutes and agendas.
  • Ensure proper management of leave records and asset registers.

What You’ll Need

  • A Grade 12 certificate and an NQF 6 qualification in Office Administration, Public Management, or related fields.
  • At least three years of supervisory experience in Office Administration.
  • Knowledge of government and departmental policies, including financial regulations.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in project management and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure, independently, and collaboratively within a team.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
