What You’ll Do
- Check, maintain, install, and repair hospital electrical equipment.
- Attend to and resolve emergency electrical failures or issues promptly.
- Supervise the work schedule for the electrical division and assist in the training of staff.
- Manage necessary administrative tasks within the workshop.
- Collaborate with the Artisan Foreman on various functions, including providing feedback on service and maintenance issues.
- Exercise control over tools and materials used in the workshop.
What You’ll Need
- A valid Trade Test Certificate in Electrical work.
- For Grade A: No prior experience is required.
- For Grade B: At least 18 years of relevant experience after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate.
- For Grade C: At least 34 years of relevant experience after obtaining the Trade Test Certificate.
- The ability to perform standby duties and work overtime when necessary.
- A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
- Competency in computer literacy and effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Knowledge of high tension systems and the Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993.

Learn and comply with in-house systems and procedures.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).

Job Duties
Check, maintain, install and repair hospital electrical equipment.Attend to emergency electrical failures or problems.
Supervise work schedule for the division and assist in supervising and training of staff.
Responsible for the necessary administrative functions of the workshop.
Render assistance to Artisan Foreman with regard to all functions (including administrative work) of the division and give feedback to supervisor on service and maintenance issues.
Exercise control over tools and materials.
