What You’ll Do

  • Manage the daily operations of the Maintenance Department, ensuring efficient service delivery.
  • Develop staff capabilities through training and mentoring in various maintenance fields.
  • Oversee production work in electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry.
  • Ensure compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act in all maintenance tasks.
  • Plan and design new installations and alterations within the hospital facilities.
  • Coordinate with contractors and monitor the progress of ongoing projects.
  • Draft and manage maintenance plans for hospital equipment, ensuring timely servicing.

What You’ll Need

  • An appropriate Trade Test Certificate in a relevant field.
  • A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Artisan post-certification.
  • A valid driver’s license (Code B/EB).
  • Strong knowledge of Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a workshop and lead a team effectively.
  • Proficient in MS Word and Excel for documentation and reporting purposes.
