What You’ll Do

  • Perform standby duties to respond to electrical emergencies as needed.
  • Carry out minor maintenance and repairs on electrical fixtures and components.
  • Assist with emergency breakdowns, including after-hours repairs.
  • Help control and requisition materials and parts necessary for repairs.
  • Clean work areas post-maintenance to ensure safety and tidiness.
  • Ensure all tools and materials are available before starting tasks.
  • Support the artisan cadre in executing their duties effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum educational requirement: Grade 10 or equivalent.
  • Relevant experience in maintenance and repairs of electrical components.
  • Ability to skillfully and safely operate required tools and equipment.
  • Capability to perform heavy physical labour as needed.
  • Valid (Code B) driver’s license is essential.
  • Knowledge of the Machinery and Occupational Health and Safety Acts.
