About the Opportunity

Join AfriSam’s Quality Department for a comprehensive 24-month internship designed for students who have completed their theoretical studies in Analytical Chemistry and require Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to graduate. This programme offers hands-on experience in laboratory testing, quality control, and industrial chemical processes, setting the stage for a successful career in laboratory science and quality management.

Key Responsibilities

– Laboratory Testing and Analysis: Conduct chemical and physical tests, perform routine laboratory analyses, and record and interpret results.
– Quality Control Support: Assist with quality assurance processes, monitor product quality, and report deviations.
– Data Recording and Reporting: Maintain accurate laboratory records and assist in compiling reports.
– Equipment Handling: Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, assist with calibration and maintenance.
– Compliance and Safety: Follow safety procedures and regulations, and participate in safety training.

Requirements/Qualifications

– Completion of all theoretical modules for a Diploma in Analytical Chemistry.
– Requirement for Work Integrated Learning (WIL) to graduate.
– Minimum academic average of 60%.
– Demonstrated good work ethic and professional behavior.
