The Department of Health is seeking a dedicated Administrative Officer in Supply Chain Management to join the team at Karl Bremer Hospital, located in Cape Town. What You’ll Do
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date Asset Register for the hospital.
- Manage the asset verification and reconciliation processes to ensure compliance.
- Oversee the disposal and loss control processes for hospital assets.
- Facilitate the procurement of assets to meet hospital operational needs.
- Generate insightful asset reports for management review.
- Provide effective support to supervisors and management in various administrative functions.
What You’ll Need
- A Senior Certificate (or equivalent), with Mathematics and/or Accountancy as a passed subject.
- Appropriate experience in administrative duties, particularly in a healthcare environment.
- A valid code B/EB driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Northern Tygerberg district.
- Knowledge of Asset Management and Supply Chain Management practices in the Public Service.
- Strong analytical skills, proficient in MS Office applications.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and instructions, including the PFMA and Treasury regulations.
- Attention to detail, ability to manage multiple priorities, and work independently as well as in a team setting.
