What You’ll Do

  • Provide clerical support for asset management, including bar coding new assets.
  • Compile and maintain accurate records and databases for asset tracking.
  • Check and issue furniture, equipment, and accessories to relevant components and individuals.
  • Identify and manage redundant, non-serviceable, and obsolete equipment for disposal.
  • Conduct asset verification and update inventory lists regularly.
  • Place orders for goods and verify deliveries from suppliers.
  • Capture goods in the inventory system and maintain accurate records.
  • Assist with stock-taking services, ensuring stock levels are balanced and recorded accurately.

What You’ll Need

  • A qualification at NQF level 04 as recognized by SAQA.
  • A valid driver’s license (applicants with disabilities are exempt).
  • Knowledge of general administrative duties and practices.
  • Ability to capture data accurately and operate computer systems.
  • Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with flexibility to adapt to changing needs.

Requirements

A qualification at NQF level 04 as recognised by SAQA.

Valid driver’s license with the exception of applicants with disabilities.

Knowledge And Skills: Knowledge of general administration duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics.

Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.

Knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment.

Job Duties

Render asset management clerical support: Bar code new assets.

Compile and maintain records (e.

g asset records/databases).

Check and issue furniture, equipment and accessories to components and individuals.

Identify redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete equipment for disposal.

Conduct assets verification.

Update the inventory list.

Order stores: Place orders for goods.

Receive and verify goods from suppliers.

Capture goods in the system or item registers.

Issue stores: Receive Logis requisition form.

Check and verify the form with the requester.

Issue goods to end users.

Issue goods out of the system.

Update and maintain register of suppliers.

Render stock-taking services: Count the stock level in the stores.

Verify the stock against the issuing reports.

Balance the stock level.

Salary

R237 453 per annum (Level 05)
