What You’ll Do

  • Provide general clerical support services to the department.
  • Record, organize, store, capture, and retrieve correspondence and data.
  • Update registers and maintain statistics relevant to the unit.
  • Handle routine inquiries and assist with administrative tasks.
  • Make photocopies and type letters or correspondence as needed.
  • Distribute documents and packages to various stakeholders.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for the component.
  • Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders regarding line function activities.
  • Assist in organizing meetings and taking minutes.
  • Support administrative functions in procurement and other unit activities.

What You’ll Need

  • A Senior/Grade 12 certificate or relevant qualification.
  • Knowledge of clerical functions and practices.
  • Ability to capture data and operate computer systems effectively.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Basic knowledge of Human Resources prescripts.
  • Understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
  • Good people management and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Knowledge of clerical functions, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collate administrative statistics.

Skills in planning and organizing, verbal and written communications skills.

Basic knowledge and insight of Human Resources prescripts.

Knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service, procedures in terms of the working environment, and interpersonal relations.

Job Duties

Salary

R237 453 per annum (Level 05)
