What You’ll Do

  • Receive, register, and process firearm temporary authorization applications on the Electronic Firearm Registration System (EFRS).
  • Verify application details and prepare necessary documentation for review.
  • Capture and maintain accurate records within the system to ensure reliability.
  • Compile routine performance statistics to aid in departmental assessments.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient filing system that supports operational needs.

What You’ll Need

  • Demonstrated competency in the core functions relevant to the role.
  • Proficiency in English and at least one other official language.
  • South African citizenship, with documentary proof required during the interview.
  • A Grade 12/Senior Certificate/NCV Level 4 or equivalent qualification recognized by SAQA.
  • Relevant courses in administrative functions will be advantageous.
  • General computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Office, MS PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent planning, organizing, administrative, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service.
  • Willingness to work under pressure and extended hours as needed.
