The City of Cape Town offers annual bursaries to help students cover registration, examination, and class fees. This is an excellent opportunity for residents of Cape Town pursuing full-time studies at accredited institutions across South Africa, including TVET colleges.
Bursary Application Details
- Closing Date: 10 October 2025
- Eligibility:
- City of Cape Town residents
- Full-time students at accredited academic institutions
- Applicants must not already have other financial assistance (e.g., NSFAS)
- Degree must be in a field designated as a scarce skill by the City
Required Documentation
- Certified copy of ID (not older than 3 months)
- Grade 12 students: copy of Grade 12 or mid-year results (minimum 65% average)
- Current tertiary students: academic transcripts (1st–3rd year)
- Registration or provisional acceptance letter from your institution
- Recommendations from teachers, mentors, or peers
- Awards and certificates achieved
- Proof of residence
- Relevant work experience in your field of study
